Grief is the normal and natural reaction to significant emotional loss of any kind. While we never compare losses, any list would include death as an obvious painful loss. Grief is individual and unique. As every relationship is unique, so are the feelings and thoughts each person will have about the relationship that has been altered by death.
Going through the grieving process can be unpredictable. There are stages of grief experienced through trauma, disorientation, adjustment and rebuilding. Emotions can shift with our circumstances as one might experience anger, denial and guilt.
No matter who or what it is that has died in your life, please take the time to grieve it through, in your own way and at your own pace. Remember that grieving is a process and that it does take time.
We offer assistance in Grief Support and our staff is ready to assist you through the process. Please contact us for more information.
“Like a bird
Singing in the rain,
Let grateful memories
Survive in time of sorrow.”
Robert Louis Stevenson
