Tommie Lambert Wilkins was born January 25, 1974, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Joyce Faye Lambert and Larry Wright. She died Sunday, November 1, 2015, in Owasso, Oklahoma, at the age of 41 years. From the time I realized we were talking to each other during a DHS report I was making, I was so glad it was you. You were such an inspiration for our clients and always helped me a lot. I loved running into you at random places and belly laughing because you are so funny! We always wondered if someday our Ella and Jackson would get married, who knows?!? Well, you are missed by so many! Hope you have found peace, I know you have.
— Renae McDonald , Tuesday – November 3, 2015
Tommie, you were one of the very 1st friends that I met at Mills and we remained friends all throughout HS and everything in between……(all the times we’d walk up to the big toy at Mills if it could talk we would have had to tear it down!) playing tennis at Elm Creek Park, riding bikes, sleep overs….there’s so much more I could and want to say. You always had a smile on your face and truly had a heart of gold. When Jeff’s mom was in the hospital, not getting better, I don’t think you ever left! You were there for Jeff, me, and most importantly for my kids. I know I thanked you then & hugged you a trillion times but it will never feel like enough for me. Your precious sweet girls, that I KNOW you loved so very much, will be in my thoughts and prayers as well as your entire family. You are at peace now. I wish I had known how deep your pain went so maybe I could have helped but I know in my heart there was nothing I could have done……Your smile, laugh, & you always up for whateve

I will always remember our last conversation and your spirit and how you loved your girls. I am just at a loss that you are gone from your girls. We will do all we can to help them through this. As I read how many people have such terrific memories and things to say about you, and how much you meant to so many, it makes me sad that I don’t think any of us ever take the time to tell people what they mean to us on a daily basis until it’s too late. I would challenge each of us to go out into the world and let our friends and family know what they mean to us, even if it’s been forever since we’ve seen them. Do it in memory of Tommie. Praying for your sweet girls and your entire family.

I am praying for your sweet girls.
