James Mitchell “Mitch” Felts was born January 1, 1954, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Jerry William Felts, Sr., and Rose Marian Davis. He died peacefully Wednesday, December 2, 2015, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, surrounded by his loving family, at the age of 61. Mitch was reared and educated in Tulsa and graduated with the Nathan Hale High School Class of 1972. He continued his education attending Oklahoma State University. Mitch spent many years working as a carpenter doing residential and commercial construction, moving to the aerospace industry as an A & P mechanic with Bizjet International in 2011. He was married May 22, 1999, in Eureka Springs, Arkansas, to Peggy Sue Hudson. When his children were younger, Mitch spent a lot of time coaching them in Owasso FOR sports – football, basketball and baseball. He was an avid fisherman and loved to go bass fishing. He was a proud Harley-Davidson motorcycle owner and rider. He also was a go-cart owner and enjoyed Kart Racing; this came from his fondness for NASCAR. Mitch could be described as a “Master of Bad Assery” by friends and family with one of his go-to quotes being “don’t start no crap and there won’t be no crap.”
