Linda Ann (Thacker) Walker, longtime resident of Owasso, passed from this life on Tuesday afternoon June 21, 2016 at her home. She was 76 years of age. Linda was born February 18, 1940 in Oakland, California to Clarence and Alis (Smallwood) Thacker. Because of her father’s military service, they lived in a variety of locations. During their married life, they made their home in Crescent City, CA and later in Fallon, Nevada. In 1964 they moved to Bartlesville, OK and later to Tulsa before making their home in Owasso in 1979. Linda was a freelance court reporter for many years; she also enjoyed painting, sewing and quilting. She was also a member of the Tulsa Town Tolers and had served as president of the group.
Those that survive and cherish her memory are her husband Glenn of the home; a daughter Tina Seals of Wagoner; son Brett Walker and wife Claretta of Greenbrier, Arkansas; grandchildren – Audra Wood and husband Chuck, Rheanna Chancey and Seth Chancey, Jimmy Anthony and wife Sarah; and great grandchildren Morghain Chancey and Eiland Anthony. Also surviving are three brothers David Teninty of Washington City, Utah, James Teninty of Devine, Texas and Larry Thacker of Las Vegas, Nevada. Linda was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Donald Bruce Garden.

I was so sorry and sad to learn of Linda’s passing. I enjoyed many years of painting, attending seminars and conventions with Linda. Although I have lived in Liberty, Missouri for the last 14 years we were still friends and I will miss her.
