Lyman John Lowry, Jr., was born November 14, 1954, in Charleston, South Carolina, to Lyman John and Grace T. (Ziegler) Lowry. He died Tuesday, June 21, 2016, in Owasso, Oklahoma, at the age of 61 years. After graduating from high school, John joined the armed forces having served his country honorably with the United States Army. He worked with Amoco/BP for over 20 years, IBM for two years, and most recently as a security guard with G4S Security in Tulsa. John enjoyed a variety of pastimes including going to the lake as well as the casino. Most important was spending time with his family.

Six grandchildren; Mackayla, Gunner, Brynleigh Bradley
Acelynn, Brielle, and Cambree Sehon
Brother; Roger Lowry, his wife Vicki, and their children Roger and Michael
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Graveside funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m., Monday, June 27, 2016, at the pavilion of Green Acres Memorial Gardens in rural Owasso. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
