Rebecca Lou “Beckie” Royal Raybon was born October 24, 1957, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Ronald Leo and Peggy Rae Boggs Royal. She died Sunday, December 18, 2016, in Owasso, Oklahoma, at the age of 59 years. Beckie was reared and educated in Sand Springs, Oklahoma, where she completed her secondary education and graduated with the Charles Page High School Class of 1974. She continued her education at Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee, Oklahoma, and earned her Bachelors of Education degree from the University of Tulsa. She spent much of her working life as a mortgage underwriter for several companies including Wells Fargo, Fannie Mae, and Veterans United Home Loans. Beckie’s job required her to travel around the country, which in turn allowed her to spend time sightseeing and touring many landmarks. Her travels also presented her the opportunity to seek out the best restaurants with the best dishes. She was an avid baseball fan and attended many Major League Baseball games at many stadiums. When she was between jobs she would fill in as a substitute teacher, requesting the junior high grades as they were the misunderstood and rebel-type age and felt she could help them the most. She also enjoyed a variety of pastimes including gathering various Native American collectibles and art. Beckie had a very generous heart and was always willing to lend a hand to help others, especially the less fortunate and down-trodden. She touched many lives not only locally but often times in her travels.
Loving family members include:
Her parents; Ron and Peggy Royal, of Sand Springs, Oklahoma
Brother; Scott Royal, of Tulsa
Close companion; Rafael Gonzalez
Life-long friend; Teri Hingey

Becky was my classmate through Junior High and High School. Pretty and smart I remember her also as bit of a spitfire who would let you know the score. A powerful smile, I am a better person today because I had friends with like Becky. Heaven is an even better place today…

Ronnie, Peggy, and Scott,
Dad called me in tears this afternoon that he could not be by your side now. We were both shaken by this news. We told each other stories of your tremendous friendship through the years. Peggy coming to help me the morning mom died and Ronnie driving the highway to meet Dad and my brothers just to help. Ronnie, I was in KC, MO & you answered my call to get to St Francis so Dad wasn’t alone when he arrived by helicopter from his car wreck. We have hundreds of good stories of our adventures and lots of homemade ice cream. We will see you soon. God will see you through this… You are in our prayers… Susan Eakes

My sincere condolences for your loss at this time. May you find comfort in your loving memories, and in God’s promise that he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. (Rev 21:4)
With my deepest sympathy, Karen
