Hattie “Faye” McDonald Carruth of Cartersville, Georgia, passed away on Monday, February 20, 2017, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Mrs. Carruth was born April 15, 1934, in Bartow County, Georgia, the daughter of the late John and Mary Mulkey. Faye spent most of her working life at Sam Howell Hospital as a licensed practical nurse. She enjoyed a variety of pastimes including sewing, quilting, crocheting, needle point, cooking and baking.
She is preceded in death by her first husband, Paul McDonald and second husband Don Carruth; son Kenneth McDonald; brothers Herman Mulkey, Dewey Mulkey, and Harold Mulkey; and sister Ollie May Garrison Smith.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Robin and Todd Hudgins; sisters-in-law Naomi and Betty Mulkey; grandchildren Chris McDonald of Cartersville, Georgia, Kayla Hudgins of Tulsa, Oklahoma, April Hazelwood and her husband of Cartersville, Georgia, and Tyler Hudgins of Owasso, Oklahoma; great granddaughter Sophie Hudgins of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and a host of nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends.
Private family services will be held in Georgia at a later date. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
