After a lifetime of writing, you would think I could find something consoling to say in a moment such as this, but the simple reality is that no such words exist in all of the English language. Therefore, just know that you have our deepest sympathy in your loss. May God bless each of you.

I did not know Tiny was born in Hays, KS. I too was born thereabouts and attended Holy Name School, Coffeyville, KS with Charles all the way through 8th grade. I remember Charles’ father was a jeweler in Coffeyville. The Pfeifers lived on Ohio Street where my Mom resided. I know that Charles was a fine, very talented man, and I’m sure he is in heaven and will be missed. I will pray for him and his family.

Charles was a good high school friend to this “Farm Kid”! I pray for the family during this time of grief.

To Donna, Todd, and family,
Tiny’s demise was our loss–to your family that he dearly loved and cherished, and to his High School Classmates, all of whom respected Charles for being so loving and giving. The Lord called Tiny Home for his talents and God’s Heavenly needs, those that he displayed raising his family, helping others, and fulfilling God’s mission in His Church. Dear Lord, we commit to you our best and your faithful servant.
We Love You Tiny,
[Class of 55]

My sincere sympathy to you and the family in the loss of “Tiny.” He was always a gentleman. It’s hard to understand why people are taken from us, but find comfort in knowing you were a special part of a well-lived life.
