Charles James “Jim” Feary was born February 26, 1946, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Charles James “Jack” Feary, Sr., and Mary Tula “Polly” Smith. He died Sunday, November 19, 2017, in Bellingham, Washington. Jim was reared and educated in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and graduated with the Nathan Hale High School Class of 1964. He continued his education at Northeastern Oklahoma A & M in Miami, Oklahoma. He was married July 28, 1972, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Judy Austin. They had made their home near Owasso, Oklahoma, in 1973. Jim spent most of his working life with Oklahoma Natural Gas as a leakage survey technician. He was a longtime faithful member of the First United Methodist Church in Owasso. He was also a member of the ONGers, Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP), Airport Ambassador, and volunteered at Ronald McDonald House, a Visit Tulsa, as well as Owasso Community Resources. Jim enjoyed a variety of pastimes including fishing and traveling. Those he leaves behind who hold very cherished memories include:
His wife of over 45 years; Judy and daughter Jennifer Feary, both of the home
Sister; Judy Raye Sams, of Owasso
And a host of great nieces and nephews who he dearly loved spending time with and creating many memories.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral service will be held 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, December 6, 2017, at the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel in Owasso with Pastor Chuck Horton officiating. Private family disposition will be held at a later date. The family requests memorial contributions be made to Pathways Adult Learning Center, 4102 East 61st Street, Tulsa, Oklahoma, 74136. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.

Jim was such an enjoyable man to work with at the airport. Jim and Judy always had smile on their faces when they came to relieve us at shift change. We will certainly miss him. Rest in Peace sweet Jim.
