Peyton Avery Madison Holt

Peyton Avery Madison Holt was born June 29, 1965, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Peyton passed away of a sudden heart attack on April 19, 2026, at his Tulsa home at the age of 60 years. Peyton grew up as an Owasso Ram. At this time, Owasso was a small town and was the perfect place to be a kid. He played FOR Club baseball at Rayola Park, football at Ator Field, and basketball at the Junior High Gym. In his teen years you could find Peyton and his friends dragging Main Street, hanging out at the Silver Mine, and enjoying fellowship at Kunta’s. He graduated with the Owasso High School Class of 1983 where he was voted “Best Smile” and was known to everyone. Peyton was a veteran of the armed forces having served his country honorably with the United States Air Force as an air traffic controller at Ramstein Air Force Base in Germany, and also at Holloman Air Force Base in Alamogordo, New Mexico. Peyton was a key asset in the USAF and because of his calm demeanor he was the controller to perform precision approaches for pilots who were in a critical phase of flight. After his military service, Peyton worked at NORDAM/Tulsa as the quality control supervisor and later as an airline executive at American Airlines. In 2020, Peyton and Lisa established their home in Tulsa. He loved their home, planning and planting their beautiful flower garden, watching his favorite football and basketball teams, good food, antiquing and his family time. His later years were filled with love and happiness. Peyton is survived by those who loved him dearly…by those who had the capacity and understood his whole heart and sweet gentle soul. He cared deeply for others and his spirit will live on with all of us. Those he leaves behind who hold a lifetime of memories include: Wife; Lisa Children; McKenzie Bruner Peyton Avery Madison Holt II Stephan Hardy Mother; Pamela Glenn Holt Sister; Ashley Holt Harris and husband Derek Grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and an abundance of friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Holt. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, April 23, 2026, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. Funeral will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 24, 2026, with Pastor Leonard Pirtle officiating. Private family disposition will be held at a later date. The family requests memorial contributions be made in Peyton’s memory to the Owasso Vietnam Veterans War Memorial, c/o Owasso VFW Post #7180, P.O. Box 1482, Owasso, Oklahoma, 74055.
